Ben Stiller’s ‘Blue Steel’ gaze has become extremely iconic since Zoolander was first released in 2001, however now it seems that the whole thing could have been inspired by our very own Pierce Brosnan.

Hollywood actor Will Ferrell reckons Ben swiped the look directly from the Meath man.

According to The Sun, Will said, “Call me crazy, which wouldn’t be the first time and I’m just putting it out there – I think Pierce Brosnan could easily be the inspiration for Blue Steel.

“Look at those blue eyes, just look at those features. Sharp and deadly. Look at the intensity with that face with a license to kill. The similarities are unmistakable.”

Now that he’s brought it to our attention, we’d definitely agree!
