Now this is a pairing, we didn’t know we needed!

Colin Farrell is set to star opposite Ben Stiller in a new true crime film entitled Belly of the Beast, directed by All of Us Strangers’ Andrew Haigh.

According to Deadline, Belly of the Beast is adapted from the Jerome Loving non-fiction book Jack and Norman: A State-Raised Convict and the Legacy of Norman Mailer’s ‘The Executioner’s Song’.

So what it’s all about?

As the official synopsis goes, the film will tell the timely and true story of the unlikely friendship between notorious literary titan Norman Mailer (Ben) and his protégé, Jack Henry Abbott (Colin).

“Bolstered by Mailer’s mentorship, Abbott is paroled after nearly a decade in prison; he gains instant popularity among the literary elite but struggles with life on the outside.

“When Mailer, creatively frustrated and envious of Jack’s rising star, turns his back on his infamous protégé, Jack spirals – committing an unforgivable act of violence in a New York City diner just six weeks after his release.”

Not only will Colin be starring in the highly anticipated movie, but he will also be among the producers, along with his sister Caludine through their company, Chapel Place.

How Colin has the time? We’ll never know, as he is currently filming for the romantic fantasy A Big Bold Beautiful Journey opposite Margot Robbie.

While later on in the summer, the Dubliner will begin filming the gambler drama Ballad of a Small Player opposite Tilda Swinton.

Seriously, does this man sleep?

Either way, we’ll be tuning into all of them!
