RTE 2FM’s Tracy Clifford has opened up about her fertility journey, saying it’s a “full-time job”.

Taking to social media, the radio host admitted that she had initially no intention of sharing her experiences, however, she didn’t want to “fake it” anymore.

In a candid chat with the RTE Guide, Tracey opened up about her battle with endometriosis, sharing that she didn’t even know that she had fertility issues until she began to try for a baby with her husband Mark.

“Silent endometriosis sees sufferers have tissue similar to the lining of the uterus growing in other areas but with none of the characteristic symptoms of endometriosis, such as pain.

“Because there is a lack of symptoms, this means women may not receive a diagnosis for many years,” she added.

“I wasn’t in any pain with it, no symptoms that I was aware of.”

Tracey then shared how she hopes that by talking about her experience, she will help other women in the same position.

“I didn’t plan to talk about this, but even if this interview helps someone else to figure out that they have silent endometriosis, I’ll be glad I talked about it,” she added.

“There needs to be more information about it.”

Continuing on Instagram, Tracy shared just how much it can take over your life, including your well-being and relationship.

She then recalled the countless tests and swabbing that figuring out fertility issues entails, saying: “It’s a full-time job navigating through the swamp of tests needles appointments etc.”

After having a laparoscopy this year, which removes the endometriosis Tracy then revealed that she and Mark are continuing to try for a baby.
