Tommy Tiernan has mocked his pal Des Bishop for joining Dancing with the Stars.
Des will be taking part in the dance show when it airs in January, and his friend Tommy, was quick to poke fun at the situation.
Tommy admitted it was “an awful day for Irish comedy” when Des signed up for the show, but did praise his pal by saying “[he’s one of the] best stand up in Ireland.”
The comedian told the Star, “Me watching Des on Dancing with the Stars would be like watching a friend of yours have a nervous breakdown.”
Des was delighted to be asked to take part in the show, and previously said on the Late Late Show, “It’s great, it’s a super popular show. I wasn’t a big watcher, but I’m happy to be in Ireland and doing the show.”
Dancing with the Stars airs January 8th on RTE One.
