This year’s Love Island star would “sack” off the show to be with Maura Higgins

Love Island famously matches couples up inside the iconic villa. But one of this year’s contestants is already pining for someone who has exited the villa. As 2022 Islander Luca Bish, has revealed he fancies former Love Island star Maura Higgins.

Telling the Daily Mail; “If she likes a younger boy, I’ll sack this off right now!”

As for what it is about the model that has him ready to leave, Luca confessed; “Everything about her – the face, the fieriness, the Irish accent. She’s got it all.”

Luca is a 23 year old from Brighton, England.

He works as a fishmonger, although he “cannot stand” fish himself. He has been single for eight months after ending a four-year-long relationship.

Considering how Maura left the villa following her season of the show in 2019, it seems pretty unlikely that he’ll get to meet her during his time on Love Island. But the show’s alum often go to the same events, so the pair might cross paths in the future.

While Maura won’t be on the show this year, there will be an Irish contestant entering the show with Luca.

Joining the Love Island cast this summer will be Dubliner Dami Hope.

After four years of being single Dami, a microbiologist, will be joining the show and looking for love.

The 29-year-old is set to bring to laughs to the villa as he told ITV; “I just get goofy man, I just say whatever comes into my head and usually it works, people laugh!”

Explaining why he will do well on the show Dami said; “When I’m actually in a relationship, I think it’s a star sign thing, I’m an Aries but I’m very passionate.”
