Jake Carter and Karen Byrne have officially said goodbye to their apartment after seven years as they settle into their new home together.
The couple recently revealed that they had bought their first home together, and now they’ve taken another major step as they officially move out of the apartment that has been their home for the past seven years.
Sharing a glimpse into the emotional milestone on Instagram, the pair said goodbye to the property while reflecting on the memories they made there together.
“And just like that we say goodbye to our apartment of 7 years!” Jake wrote.
“Filled with amazing memories and our first home together.”

While it was clearly an emotional goodbye, Karen and Jake are now looking forward to starting the next chapter in their new property, although it sounds like there is still plenty of work to be done.
“Onto the next chapter now, our first night in our new home (building site),” he joked.
The move itself proved to be a busy one, with the couple having to remove all of their belongings and move furniture back up two flights of stairs.
And amid all the chaos, Jake even managed to leave part of an essential appliance behind.
“I left half my coffee machine behind thankfully, I’ve it back ready for the morning!!!!” he added.
At the time, they posted a snap of Jake’s hand, Karen’s hand and their beloved dog Lenny’s paw holding a brand-new set of house keys.
“We got you your back garden Lenny…” they captioned the post, hinting at the extra space their four-legged friend would soon have to enjoy.
The milestone has been a long-awaited one for the couple, who got engaged last year after seven years together.
