Singer Roísín Murphy set to make TV debut in Netflix series

Roísín Murphy is known for her incredible vocals and her killer fashion.

And now she will be showing off her acting prowess as she has joined a brand new Netflix series.

Yes, the musician will be making her on-screen acting debut in an upcoming show that looks like it will have us sleeping with the lights on.

Roísín will join the cast of The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself as the mysterious character Mercury.

She won’t be the only Irish face in the show, as she will be joined by actor Karen Connell who previously starred in the likes of Vikings.

Netflix describes the upcoming series as: “The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself is a darkly humorous, romantic, roller-coaster ride of a young adult show. It’s a story about the indomitable will to survive and defy the odds.

“The series is based on the Half Bad trilogy of books written by Sally Green. Sixteen-year-old Nathan (Jay Lycurgo) is the illegitimate son of the world’s most dangerous witch.

The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself launches on Netflix just in time for Halloween on October 28th
