Sinead O’Brien is still buzzing from her engagement.
And when VIP Magazine catch up with Sinead at this year’s eir Power of Women Awards, we spend a good five minutes gushing over her gorgeous ring. Seriously, it’s stunning.
Immediately, we ask did she know the proposal was coming.
“Absolutely not!” she laughs.
“You think after eight years, you would think I’d be expecting it. But I was like, ‘Okay maybe it’s coming, maybe not, we’ll wait and see.’ But by God did the boy do good!”
She enthuses about the “best day of her life”, telling us: “He brought me to see Andrea Bocelli, who I love, and he got down on one knee in the middle of the concert after one of our favourite songs! It was just incredible.
“We went for dinner that night, the whole shebang. But I do all these things with Simon so I didn’t expect anything to happen. But he would have been a fool to miss the opportunity – we were in Berlin at my favourite singer! I was delighted!”
And of course, the pair are proud parents to their little one baby Jacob. Who we’re sure will play an important part of the wedding day.
“Jacob is 18 months and he’s just gone so big. It’s crazy! Time absolutely flies,” she gushes.
Her other baby is her Shapewear brand Vacious which is almost two-years-old.
“Just to see how far we’ve come from last year, it’s been incredible,” she tells us with the widest smile on her face.
“Even our Christmas campaigns, we’ve really grown as a brand. We really know where we’re at. It’s hard, keeping on top of it all. I wake up in the middle of the night saying we need to record a video and do this as an ad. Simon’s like, ‘Go to sleep and switch your mind.’.”
