Sarah McInerney has landed a new role on RTE Radio One – much to the delight of listeners around the country.
The broadcaster became a huge hit when she covered Sean O’Rourke’s Today Show during the summer. While the permanent position for that role went to Claire Byrne last week, Sarah is still within the station.
Now, Sarah will be joining Cormac O hEadhra as they present Drivetime from 4.30pm, each weekday afternoon.
Fellow presenters and famous faces shared their well-wishes with pair.
Evanne Ni Chuilinn said, “A-Team. Congrats Sarah and Cormac – brilliant appointment. Ye will be insufferable if Galway ever do the double.”
Miriam O’Callaghan added, “Congrats to you Sarah and Cormac, brilliant news.”
Other changes within the station will see Aine Lawlor and Mary Wilson join Morning Ireland, while Bryan Dobson moves to lunchtime radio news, hosting RTE News at One with Bryan.
