Congratulations are in order for Saoirse Ronan.
The Carlow woman has reportedly tied the knot in an intimate Scottish ceremony to her long-term boyfriend, Jack Lowden.
The Irish Independent reports that the Register of Scottish Civil Marriages recorded that Saoirse Una Ronan married Jack Andrew Lowden at the Edinburgh Central Registrar’s Office.
It’s believed that they got married last weekend in a small ceremony.
They were joined by a handful of guests who were sworn to secrecy.
Saoirse and Jack met in 2018 when they were filming Mary Queen of Scots where she played Mary and he played Darnley, Mary’s second husband.
However, the couple has kept their relationship very private.
Saoirse doesn’t have any social media accounts, but she will make rare appearances on Jack’s.

Last year, they sparked engagement rumours when Jack shared pictures of them at the top of Ben Vrackie in Scotland where the four-time Oscar-nominated actor appeared to be wearing a diamond ring.
In recent months, Jack gushed about Saoirse in an interview with I News, saying: “The woman is a force of nature, on- and off-screen, and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well.
“My first love is actors, and when you’re given a Ferrari like her, it’s all about how you make everything good for the Ferrari to show off.
“Don’t make a Ferrari do what a Renault Clio does. It’s a dreadful analogy, but they’re like gold dust, good actors.”

While Saoirse similarly praised her now husband telling Harper’s Bazaar: “When a person you respect as much as I do him says that, it means more than anyone else’s opinion.”
