The VIP List: Here’s what we’re loving this week

We hope you’re enjoying the sun!

And we hope that you’re enjoying the new issue of VIP Magazine, on shelves nationwide now!

Here’s what Team VIP is loving this week…

Digital Editor Bronwyn is loving…a blush and lip combo

While the clean girl aesthetic may not be trending anymore, you can pull it from my cold dead hands. I love to keep my makeup routine simple.

So I am a huge fan of the new bareMinerals GEN NUDE Dew-In-One Cheek & Lip Sticks. This creamy, skincare-infused colour balm delivers a fresh, healthy-looking flush to cheeks and lips.

Yes, you can use it on both your cheeks and your lips. They’re always in my bag when I need a touch up!

Head of Commercial and Events Rebecca is loving…a break away

Planning a staycation? Well, I have the perfect spot for you! The Montenotte has unveiled 36 newly developed Signature Collection rooms following a €2 million investment, marking the latest phase in the hotel’s continued evolution as one of Ireland’s leading design-led urban resorts.

Delivered in collaboration with GDC Interiors, the new collection introduces a refined, more residential style of accommodation, designed to appeal to guests seeking comfort, character and a strong sense of place.

The rooms feature a palette of warm neutrals and soft blush tones, layered with tactile fabrics, bespoke furnishings and ambient lighting that transitions seamlessly throughout the day. Timber flooring, oversized inset carpets and carefully considered detailing create a sense of balance and understated luxury, while spacious porcelain bathrooms with walk-in showers and brushed gold fittings add a spa-like element to the guest experience.

Bronwyn is loving…a good SPF

The good weather doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere and long may it last!

But it also means that we need to protect our skin now more than ever. Worry not because Prime Forever has us covered. I’m a massive fan of the No7 Prime Forever SPF50 Primer.

It reduces skin ageing activity within minutes and preserves skin for 24 hours from application. While being fast-absorbing with no white cast, 96% said it gave their skin a healthy-looking glow. It doubles as a primer and base for makeup as well as a SPF. So as a lazy girl I am obsessed!

If you’re looking for the ultimate girls’ night out, Legally Blonde: The Musical at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre is it. Not only is Legally Blonde one of my all-time favourite films, but the stage production somehow manages to be even more fun. The songs are ridiculously catchy, the choreography is full of energy, and you’ll be fighting the urge to get up and dance in your seat.

Amber Davies is also absolutely phenomenal as Elle Woods – her vocals are incredible, and she brings so much charm, humour and heart to the role.

So whether you’re a longtime fan of the movie or seeing the story for the first time, it’s a feel-good show that’ll leave you with a huge smile on your face.

The show is running at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre until 18 July, so grab your tickets while you still can! Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Bronwyn is loving…a family day out

If you’re a big kid (like me) or have actual kids, then you’re probably looking for stuff to do this summer. And I was so excited to head down to Zipit Adventure Park in Kildare this weekend.

The new multi-activity park is set within the 640-acre Donadea Forest Park, where giant treetop nets, tunnels, slides, high ropes challenges and zip lines combine to create an outdoor adventure experience for everyone from energetic toddlers to thrill-seeking adults, while offering a unique way to explore one of Ireland’s most popular woodland destinations.

At the heart of the attraction is Ireland’s largest forest-based nets course – an expansive aerial playground where visitors can bounce, climb, crawl and explore through tunnels, slides, elevated play areas and even a treehouse, or simply relax and take in the forest views.

I had the best time with my family climbing through the trees and ziplining around. It was the dream!

Rebecca is loving…food stories

Food is such an important part of our lives here in Ireland and they are at the heart of storytelling. Kasha Connolly, the woman behind Hazel Mountain Chocolate from the Burren in County Clare, recognised that and came up with Food for Stories.

Food for Stories invites some of Ireland’s most recognisable personalities into Kasha’s home for an evening of cooking, conversation, and connection. In exchange for a home-cooked meal, guests share the personal stories that have shaped their lives, creating a warm, entertaining, and often heartfelt viewing experience.

This season features an exciting line-up of guests, including broadcaster Dermot Whelan, style icon Mandy Maher, ITV’s The Chase quizmaster Darragh Ennis, and adored television personality Coleen Nolan of Loose Women and The Nolans. Blending great food with candid storytelling.
