Russell Crowe last night appeared on the Late Late Show, as he continues his latest trip to Dublin.
The New Zealand born actor is in the capital to perform with his band Indoor Garden Party in the Olympia theatre on October 1st, and he gave us a sneak peek performance on RTE last night.
The star of Gladiator revealed that this was his first time actually getting to see Dublin, despite visiting several times before.
“I’ve been here a number of times over the years,” Russell told Ryan Tubridy last night.
“But the last time I had a social event here was 2003. Since then, it’s been hotel rooms, interview rooms, movie theatres, back on the plane.
“And yesterday – and I’m not taking the p***, just factual – was my first sunny day in Dublin out of all the times that I’ve visited. So that was a great experience! And today, actually, I went for a walk. It felt like, ‘Woo-hoo!”
Russell went on to tell Ryan his one hilarious thought about Dublin pubs.
“I don’t think it’s possible for me to say I’ve been in to a pub in Dublin where I got a s*** pint. It’s just not possible.
“Why pick one pub, when I’ll just go to all of them over time?” Crowe asked. “Make new friends.”
You’re welcome here anytime Russell!
