Aslan frontman Christy Dignam will be the star of a new RTE documentary, which will follow his cancer journey.
Despite battling the terminal illness, the singer wants to continue with music, and just recently announced a gig in the Iveagh Garden’s in Dublin which will take place this July.
The RTE docu-series is set to follow Christy and the band as they prepare for the big show.
The popular Irish band have had to cancel a number of gigs at home and abroad due to Christy’s illness.
Band member Billy McGuinness told The Irish Sun of the lead singer’s determination to perform in Dublin this summer; “Christy will play that gig no matter what, it’s going to be an incredible show.”
