Ronan Keating raised concern when he shared a cryptic message about his wife Storm earlier this year.
He spoke about the “challenge” she would be facing.
He shared a picture of his new tattoo which was dedicated to his wife.
He wrote: “For you my warrior today and every day, my Stormy. A challenge ahead but your strength blows my mind. With you every step. Love you baby.”
He has now explained that Storm recently had to have surgery connected to a spine injury. She previously had emergency surgery performed for a prolapsed disc in 2021.
Storm was actually diagnosed with cauda equina syndrome, an injury which causes the nerve roots in her lower back to become compressed. In some cases, it can lead to paralysis.
Speaking to RSVP, he said: “Storm is a superstar and a powerhouse. She went through surgery which was related to the spine surgery she had three years ago. It was connected to that.
“She had a six-week recovery. She is incredible. She was walking the next day, which blew my mind.”
He admitted that it was a “tough recovery”.
“She’s got too much going on and I wish she’d back off a little bit. She’s one of those people who never stops,” he added.
We’re glad to hear that Storm is recovering well.
