Paul Brogan says Dancing with the Stars is “tougher” than day in Croke Park

Paul Brogan failed to impress the judges on Sunday night when he sambaed his way across the dancefloor on Dancing with the Stars.

And while the footballer confessed that he felt like the judges were “harsh”, he is already looking forward to next week.

He’s hopeful that his nerves don’t get the better of him when they get to week three.

“I’m not as nervous… like I was very nervous before the first show. I was a bit uptight about it and would be overthinking a few things, you’re still nervous there but it was a little bit easier. So hopefully week three will be,” he tells us on Sunday night.

He jokes that he would rather take on Croke Park than Dancing with the Stars.

“This is way more tough. But we’ll keep going, that’s what we do,” he confesses.

He tells us that Shane agrees with the pressure being worse on the dancefloor than on the pitch. Not an easy feat.

Of course, he jokes that his brother Bernard and Alan are happy to make sure that he doesn’t get too big for his boots. He admits that there is some good old-fashioned brotherly teasing.

“But it’s all love, but if you’re coming on this, you’re going to expect that but it’s all good. If I wasn’t getting it, I’d be asking why I wasn’t getting it so,“ he laughs.

We can’t wait to see what he brings on Sunday.

Dancing with the Stars continues on RTÉ One at 6:30pm on Sunday
