Nicky Byrne has left the homeland and set off for Stockholm ahead of this year’s Eurovision, which will take place next week.
He will be representing Ireland with his new song Sunlight, which we’re slightly obsessed with, at this year’s song competition.
The former Westlife star jetted out of Dublin airport yesterday afternoon with his team and headed for Sweden to get settled in before the international competition on May 13th.
Speaking to Jenny Greene on RTE 2FM yesterday, he said, “Everything’s been going very well, we’re all happy and healthy and team Ireland are here with me with a huge flag for the green room, and it’s very exciting. We’re all set to go.”
Jenny will be heading to Sweden herself next Wednesday to support her friend, and all of us here in VIP Towers wish him the best of luck with the final preparations.
