Michelle Visage has gushed about Ireland and how she’s looking forward living like a local.
The singer is relocating here as she takes part in the new series of Ireland’s Got Talent, as a judge.
“I love Ireland. Clearly I’m from here – you look at me and I’ve Irish blood,” she told the Irish Mirror.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race regular has previously worked in Ireland and is excited to be back.
“I try to live as locals do when I work in a country. I was on RTE with Dusty Rhodes years ago but I don’t think anyone here remembers. So I did a lot of sightseeing when I came over, I’m talking in the 1990s.”
She also added that she has done plenty of the tourist attractions and only has one thing in mind when she’s back.
“I did all the touristy things back then so now all I want to do is shop in Penneys.
“I don’t drink but my husband is a Guinness fanatic so we’ll have to hit some pubs.”
Michelle added that she is very excited to take part in talent show.
“For me, I’ve always been a fan of the Got Talent franchise and to be on an inaugural show here in a country I love is a dream come true,” she said.
“I perform here quite regularly, at least three or four times a year with our queens. We’ve a huge presence here and I’m hoping me being on the show will bring out a lot of the drag talent Ireland has to offer.
“This is a place that accepts me for who I am so it’s going to be a beautiful show I hope.”
The 48-year-old added that anyone and everyone can apply for the show.
“Former winners of Irish reality shows can apply no problem, “I’ve heard of that guy Brendan Kilkenny who auditioned for everything. All are welcome regardless of how unique.”
