This week, Maïa Dunphy took to social media to ask for “good vibes” after her father had been brought to hospital.
She shared an Instagram Story saying: “It’s been a tricky old time of late, folks, my lovely Dad is in hospital, and I’d appreciate all the good vibes/prayers/candles/weird superstitions or whatever’s in your spiritual bag!
“Also very grateful for the kind offers from lovely people. Hopefully all will be well.”
She didn’t go into details as to why her father, Tom, had been hospitalised.

Maïa went on to share a positive update on Wednesday as she confirmed that her dad was now home from hospital.
“Thanks for all the well wishes for my lovely dad. Got him home from hospital,” she simply wrote.
Speaking to VIP Magazine for our June Issue, she shared that her father is the person who has had the biggest impact on her life.

“My dad Tom. He’s a completely brilliant man in every way and the best dad and grandad. We’d be utterly lost without him,” she told us.
Maïa has been open about the lose of her mother, Helen, in 2022 from cancer.

Speaking to us she, revealed that the biggest lesson she learned was to not “sweat the small stuff”.
“Honestly, I know it’s obvious, and I admire people who learned how to do this sooner, but losing my mum made me realise what matters, and what really, really doesn’t.”
