Maïa Dunphy shared a beautiful message to her mother on the second anniversary of her passing.
The presenter has been open about grief and loss since the death of her mother, Helen in 2022.
She shared a picture of Helen on Instagram as she admitted that she couldn’t believe it had been two years since she passed away.
She started by sharing a quote: “She noted dates as they came past in the revolution of the year. Her own birthday, and every other day in which she had taken some share. She suddenly thought, that there was another date, of greater importance than all those; that of her own death; a day which lay sly and unseen among all the other days of the year, annually passed over. When was it?”

She then went on to say: “Who’d have thought February 27th would be etched in our hearts as the date we lost our vibrant, lovely Mum, still with so much life to live.
“Grief creates such a weird impasse, as you know this person who loved you more than most, would want nothing more than for you to be happy, and yet it’s their absence that makes you so very sad.
“We’re told to try and live as if they’re still with us, and so that’s what we’ll try to do. Can’t believe it’s been 2 years Mama, we miss you so much.”
She was met with some beautiful messages from her friends.
“Sending love to you and yours,” Victoria Smurfit wrote.
“Sending you lots of love,” Rosanna Davison commented.
