Martin Akinola’s time in the Love Island villa might have come to end, but his search for love hasn’t! Continuing on in an unsuspecting place, Love Island: Aftersun.
Martin stopped by the Aftersun set to dish the dirt on his time in the villa and his romance with fellow islander Tanya. But while there, the now-single Dubiner decided to make his feelings known for host Maya Jama.
When asked about leaving Casa Amor for the main villa with Tanya, the software engineer confessed: “I said to her, ‘I’d like not to be a test, but I want to go into the main villa because you think we have a good connection.’ She said, ‘Yeah we do have a good connection, blah blah blah.”’
But when discussing the recoupling, Martin confessed he was distracted by Maya.
“So we go to the main villa. I’m there trying to like… you know… of course I’d got the beautiful Maya across from me,” he said.
Maya’s head turned to the audience for their reaction, as a cheer of whohhs began. With Maya joking: “I did actually see you watching me and I’m like ‘focus.'”
The cheeky moment was a bit of banter for the pair, and for audience at home, who found Martin’s flirting hilarious.
