Lisa Jordan has opened up about the struggles bloggers face living outside of Dublin.
The blogger, who goes by Just Jordan, is based in Cork and explained that she spent a lot of time in the capital when she was starting out.
“Most things are up in Dublin, there are a few things beginning to creep down into the country which is great. But I’m five years blogging now and I spent years travelling up and down,” she told VIP Magazine.
The pregnant star, who has two-year-old daughter Pearl, explained that it can be difficult to go to events based in Dublin when juggling work and motherhood.
“I don’t have to do it as much anymore because a lot of my work can be done from home, I don’t have to go to most events anymore, at the start you kind of go everywhere to network but luckily now I don’t have to do that as much, but it is tough,” she said.
The influencer added that while sometimes she can miss out on work over people based in the capital, she has found a happy medium over the years.
“You do miss out on a lot of things, and a lot of opportunities because you’re looked over and the Dublin girls might get something over you because you’re not in Dublin, but it’s all worked out perfect for me, I think I’ve the right balance at the moment.”
But don’t assume that mean’s she’ll be moving to Dublin anytime soon…
“Oh my god, Cork is my everything, I am Cork through and through, everyone knows this about me. When I go to Dublin even for awards and whatnot, I drive home! I very rarely spend the night,” she laughed.
“I love my own bed, I love family and going home to Pearl. I love Cork city and the people and the support. Now equally I love Dublin and everywhere else but I’m a home girl and a Cork girl!”
