TV and radio presenter Laura Fox has given fans a glimpse into her recent wedding celebrations, opening up about the private ceremony during a candid Instagram Q&A.

The broadcaster tied the knot with her long-term partner Brian Moran last Tuesday at Dublin City Hall. The couple are set to celebrate again later this summer with a larger wedding in Italy.

Opening up to her followers, Laura revealed that they originally booked the City Hall ceremony last June, but even then, there were very few dates available, which ultimately led to them getting married on a random Tuesday.

Explaining their decision to have two ceremonies, Laura said that because they are not having a church wedding in Italy, it means they would not be legally married.

“So you have to do a civil ceremony either six months before or six months after.”

While only two witnesses are required, Laura said she floated the idea to family and close friends, and they decided to turn it into a full day of celebrations.

The pair had around 40 guests in attendance and later celebrated at Café en Seine.

“We didn’t do any music, and I just knew that Café en Seine is always a bop any time I’m there, so it was perfect.

“Plus the food was 10/10, and the drinks were flowing, and the staff were all lovely. Because we weren’t doing flowers, I just knew the décor in there was enough on its own.”

Laura added that she was thrilled with City Hall, having attended a friend’s wedding there a few years ago and knowing how beautiful it is.

She also revealed that she will be keeping her surname, explaining that she’ll “forever be a Fox in life and work.”

“I have a long history with my surname and why it means the world to me. Probably something I won’t ever get into. But I love being a Fox so much,” she said.

Congratulations once again to the happy couple!
