Karen Koster returned to our screens after a well-deserved summer break.
She sat down next to Martin King for the first time in 10 weeks to present The Six O’Clock Show.
She was only delighted to sit in the hot seat again, although she joked she had to bribe the crew to “love” her again after her time away from the studio.
Heading into the studios, she posted a picture of herself with a selection of doughnuts.
“I’m coming for you @sixoclockshow team! And I brought you all the donuts to make you love me again after all this time!” she wrote.
She posed for pictures with everyone in the studio as they were only delighted to have her back!
“First day back made all the sweeter by having @kateotoole_ at the helm of tonight’s show. Feels like the good ol’ days of Xpose,” she wrote along a picture of producer Kate O’Toole.
And Martin was over the moon to have his work wife back!
‘Karen’s back tonight after ten weeks on her holidays,” he said, before jokingly adding: “Hope she brought back presents!”
Over the course of the summer, guest presenters such as Una Healy, Fionnuala Jay, Grainne Seoige and Grainne Gallanagh filled in for Karen.
Karen usually takes parental leave over the summer to spend time with her husband John McGuire and their three children JJ, Finn and Eve.
Stepping back into the role, she chatted with guests Caroline Morahan, Julie Jay and Lilly Higgins.
