It’s set to be a battle of the Irish, as Jamie Dornan, Cillian Murphy, James Nesbitt and Aidan Turner will compete to go home with the gong for Drama Performance at the UK National Television Awards.
The awards will take place on 25th January 2017, and is set to be a night to remember – especially for these Irish stars.
Jamie has been nominated for his role in The Fall, where he plays Paul Spector. James Nesbitt was given a nod for his part in Cold Feet. Aidan Turner was nominated for Poldark, while Cillian Murphy impressed with his role on Peaky Blinders.
The men will go head to head in the Best Drama Performance, but have also been nominated in different categories too.
Aidan or Cillian could also go home with a gong for Best Period Drama, while Jamie or James could receive an award from the Best Drama category.
Elsewhere, Dermot O’Leary is set to go head to head with Graham Norton, as they battle it out in the Entertainment Programme category.
Graham has been nominated for The Graham Norton Show, while The Getaway Car which is hosted by Dermot was also nominated.
The pair will also compete for the gong of Best TV Presenter.
Louis Walsh has found himself nominated for Best TV Judge, while Mrs Brown’s Boys has been nominated for the Best Comedy.
We have no doubt that a whole host of these Irish stars will take home some awards…
