Irish stars lead the BAFTAs red carpet

You’ll never beat the Irish.

And this award season really is proving that as they have taken over almost every category in some of the biggest ceremonies.

This weekend we are celebrating the BAFTAs with the likes of Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Paul Mescal and Barry Keoghan up for awards.

We saw some gorgeous looks as the red carpet kicked off ahead of the ceremony. With the Irish contingent absolutely killing it.

And it was a family affair for both Barry and Paul.

Proud dad Barry shared some gorgeous pictures of himself with his son Brando. The father and son duo posed for a sweet snap with Colin Farrell, with Barry calling him Brando’s Uncle Col.

How cute.

Both Colin and Barry looked dapper in their chic suits. Barry was dressed in Alexander McQueen opting for a statement red suit and a matching shirt that featured a red collar.

While Colin went traditional with a black suit and a bowtie as he headed into the arena.

Paul Mescal walked the red carpet with his parents, Dearbhla and Paul, who were as proud as punch.

Kerry Condon, who is also up for Best Supporting Actress, made a statement on the red carpet in a gorgeous Armani Privé gown. It was definitely one of the best looks of the night.

Daryl McCormack put on an equally dapper display at his first BAFTAs in a black suit, opting to go against the grain with a white bowtie rather than a black one. Swit-swoo.

Although they weren’t up for awards on the night, the likes of Nicola Coughlan, Jamie Dornan and Vogue Williams also attended the event.

Nicola may very well have been the best-dressed celebrity on the night with her stunning Versace dress that featured floral detailing.

It was clear that she was taking inspiration from the sixties as her signature blonde tresses were styled into a beehive hairstyle.

Vogue, who is in the middle of a run of live shows here in Ireland, was all dolled up in a green halterneck gúna. We are seriously obsessed with her seventies-inspired look.
