Irish actor Simon Delaney has bagged a new role in UK soap Coronation Street.
Simon, who has previously appeared in hit US show The Good Wife, is set to play an Irish character on the cobbles.
According to The Sunday World, the 46 year old has already begun filming his opening scenes and will be appearing on our screens next month.
It is still unknown whether or not his character will just appear short term or whether he will have a major role.
We can’t wait to see what he brings to one of Ireland’s favourite British soaps.
