Louise McSharry will be opening up about her battle with cancer in a behind-the-scenes RTE show.
The 2fm presenter has revealed that she allowed cameras to follow her in the past year as she underwent treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which she since has received the all-clear from.
The footage, which was shot for a new documentary as part of the next Reality Bites series, is to be broadcast in the autumn and will allow viewers to witness the radio star’s most testing times with the illness.
Speaking to the Irish Daily Mail, Louise revealed that those who tune in will see exactly what she went through, even seeing the difficult moment that she shaved off all her hair.
“it’s about my cancer battle and the last year that I’ve had,” she said. “The cameras were there when I shaved my head and stuff, I’m an open book.”
On top of this, her return to the radio airwaves and also the planning of her impending wedding, Louise revealed she will be releasing a tell-all book about her life.
“I’m writing a book at the moment about me and being a woman…Work and that are my primary focuses at the moment”, she said.
