Cassie Stokes has opened up about her past relationship, crediting her ex girlfriend for giving her the confidence to be the woman she is today.
Speaking exclusively to VIP Magazine, Cassie spoke candidly about recently splitting from her ex-girlfriend Kathleen. She said that the pair had a great relationship while she was working in Canada, and they still remain good friends.
The Xpose host admitted that the reason she feels confident in her own skin now is because of Kathleen.
“We had an amazing relationship and we’re still very close, which my friends can’t get their heads around! Maybe it’s because we’re girls and we were best friends, side-by-side for everything.
“I could never say a bad word about her, she gave me so much confidence about who I am. She’s always been very comfortable in herself and I think that rubbed off on me. Kathleen is an incredible woman,” she said.
Cassie revealed that the long distance between them was eventually what led the couple to part ways, but she doesn’t rule out getting back together in the future.
“Kathleen is French Canadian and she’s still over there, she’s very passionate about her job. I left Canada and the long distance thing didn’t work for us. I think we needed time to grow apart after being so close for such a long time.
“You never know what will happen and I’ll always speak fondly of her. I think i’d speak fondly of anyone I’d been with, you were with that person for a reason. I’m very lucky that she’s still in my life,” she said.
