Irish X Factor star Brendan Murray has shared a sweet tribute to his father, as he prepares for tomorrow night’s live shows.

The Galway man, who is working under One Direction star Louis Tomlinson in the boys category this year, has made it through to week five of the live shows, and has been growing in popularity with the public.

With his background in music hugely prominent in his success, the former Hometown star has revealed his childhood inspiration; his dad!

“I Always get asked “what artist do you want to be” or “who inspires you to sing”,’ the 22-year-old posted on social media.

“I grew up watching my dad perform, from Late nights down in the pub to birthdays, weddings and anniversary’s. He’s always pushed me to follow my dreams as singer.
