Despite his team shutting down reports that Garth Brooks would be playing in Cork soon, Garth Brooks has revealed he’d be only too delighted to return to Ireland and play for his fans.
The country singer took to social media and revealed that he has high hopes for a concert in Dublin one day, after last year’s shows didn’t go ahead.
A fan asked the star where he would like to perform in the future, to which he replied, “I’ve been lucky to play in a lot of places. I don’t think I’ll get to play in all the places I want to play because the main ingredient is the sincerity of the people that want to hear it, that’s what it’s all about.
“There’s a place that I haven’t played yet, that I’ve played before, if this makes any sense? Dublin, Ireland. How can I say any more than that?
“Cross my heart I’ll get to play there again.”
The news comes very soon after he revealed to Billboard Magazine that he was absolutely distraught after the shows were cancelled here last time.
He said, “I can tell you, next to losing my mom, that might have been the hardest day ever for me in music. That’s how much it hurt. I just don’t get it. To this day, I scratch my head. I cannot figure this one out.”
