The sad news was announced this morning on Ryan Tubridy’s Radio One show that Francis Brennan’s mother, Maura had passed away.
Living alone in Sligo, she was said to be very close to Francis and his brother John. Francis had previously said that his mother was a very social woman; “She has more callers than the Pope.”
Maura, in her 90’s was reportedly surrounded by her family when she passed away in her hometown of Sligo.
As well as TV personality and hotelier Francis, she had four other children, John, Damien, Susan and Kate.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced, and are expected later this afternoon.
