Francis and John Brennan are moving onto the next chapter of their lives.

The hoteliers are selling their two iconic hotels in Kenmare in Co Kerry. The pair will bid farewell to the five-star Park Hotel and The Landsdowne as they have put them on the market.

The two glamorous hotels are available to buy separately or together.

The sale might mean saying goodbye to the hotels, but they will continue to film their RTÉ series At Your Service, which is due to film its 13th season soon.

Putting the properties on the market was surely an emotional decision as it marks the end of Francis’ 40-year career in the area.

He originally bought The Park in 1986 when the hotel went into liquidation. He had previously worked in the hotel as its manager for two years.

The Lansdowne was bought by the brothers in 2021.

The decision to step back as owners of the hotel comes just before Francis’ 70th birthday.

His brother John previously told The Irish Times: “It was always for sale if somebody wrote a cheque. We were always waiting for the white Rolls-Royce to come up the drive with the chequebook.”

John went on to explain that they had originally been approached in 2019 about a buyer but the deal fell through.
