Singer Michele McGrath has decided it’s time to really begin taking care of her voice, as she has some major projects coming up over the next couple of months.

Michele has been busy recording an EP in studio recently with her fellow Liir bandmates Leanne Moore and Kim Hayden.

Speaking to The Herald, she said, “In the new year we’ll be releasing some new tracks. We can’t wait for everyone to hear them.”

Michele went on to say that she thinks the new vibe off these tracks will “surprise people.” She continued, “I don’t think it’s what people will be expecting.”

The group are waiting until the new year to release the music, as Michele will be extremely busy over the Christmas period, having landed the lead role in this year’s Tivoli panto, Beauty and the Beast.

“I am really delighted to be playing Belle. It’s one of my favourite stories. I’m really excited to be doing the panto again,” she said.

In order to prepare for all the upcoming vocal work, Michele has had to put a halt to her late night partying.

“I’m not hosting in Buck Whaley’s as much anymore and I’m not out a lot either. It’s not worth it the next day. I just have to really, really mind my voice, and alcohol wouldn’t be the best for that,” she said.

The singer continued, “Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy a glass of wine. I was out last weekend, but the days of being in a nightclub until three in the morning are far behind me.”
