Ed Sheeran has thanked the “wonderful people” of Galway as his time in the West of Ireland comes to an end.
The singer was in a Salthill during the week to record the video for Galway Girl, and fans flocked to catch a glimpse of the singer, many managing to grab a selfie with the star.
“Thank you Galway and all the wonderful people in it for helping us shoot a music video yesterday x,” he wrote on social media.
Sharing a snap of the 26-year-old on Facebook, The Galway Bay Hotel said, “Ed Sheeran is creating quite the stir here in Salthill where he is shooting a music video in a local pub.
“Crowds are outside the front to try and catch a glimpse! Lucky for us someone sent us this sneak peek of him getting some air. Welcome back to Galway Ed!”
The singer performed in Dublin’s 3Arena last night, and will be taking to the stage again this evening.
