Ed Sheeran is preparing to take to the stage at Dublin’s 3 Arena this Thursday and Friday night. However, much to the surprise of fans it was made apparent yesterday that the singer is already on the island, and has been hard at work in Galway.
Crowds gathered outside O’Connor’s pub in Salthill yesterday in an effort to get a glimpse of the star, who is recording the music video for his song Galway Girl.
The Galway Bay Hotel shared a pic of Ed on their Facebook page. In the sneaky snap, taken by Rachel Flannery, the Shape Of You hitmaker can be seen surrounded by film equipment.
Alongside the snap the hotel wrote, “Ed Sheeran is creating quite the stir here in Salthill where he is shooting a music video in a local pub. Crowds are outside the front to try and catch a glimpse! Ed is also set to co-host The Eoghan McDermott Show on 2FM this Thursday, and give away the last pair of tickets to his sold out 3 Arena gig to one lucky listener.
