Sometimes, staying at your boyfriend’s house really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be!

Doireann Garrihy has recently revealed that she feels as though she is being robbed of her “sanity” after spending nights at her boyfriend Mark Mehigan’s house.

The 2FM presenter who went public with Mark earlier this year, explained that when she spends the night at his place, she’s unable to get a good night’s sleep.

Why? Well, it’s all down to squawking seagulls apparently!

Talking to her listeners on her radio show, Doireann blamed the seagulls outside her boyfriend’s house for interrupting her sleep, well before her alarm wakes her up.

“There is something I’d like to get off my chest, I look a bit puffy,” she began.

“We get up at literally the crack of dawn. Nobody can argue with that. I was working until fairly late last night, but I don’t know what I’m going to do about the seagulls on the Southside of Dublin.”

Doireann went on to explain that although she loves where Mark lives, she finds it hard to look past the noise and disruption from the seagulls, adding that they’re “robbing” her sanity and sleep.

“They make this awful noise. If it was throughout the night, you’d accept that it was torture.

“They do it about 40 minutes before my alarm goes off. That 40 minutes is key,” Doireann notes.

“It’s so inconsiderate. They don’t even sing. They squawk!”

We hear you there, Doireann!
