2023 is the year of Dermot Kennedy and you can’t say otherwise.
After taking a well-deserved break at the start of the new year to go travelling, it seems as though the Irish singer-songwriter is once again back on the grind – stateside for that matter!
Yes, last night Dermot wowed US audiences after performing on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Taking to Instagram to announce the news Dermot wrote: “Well this is exciting!!!”
The singer took to the stage where he performed One Life, a song from his latest album, Sonder and fans couldn’t get enough of him.
Taking to Twitter to express their thoughts, one follower wrote: “An absolutely brilliant and underrated talent.”
While another tweeted: “Class as always Dermot. Terrific performance.”

This appearance comes ahead of Dermot’s preparation for his world tour which starts in just under a month’s time.
The 31-year-old has certainly been enjoying his time in the US, which seems to have served as inspiration for his writing.
Sharing a clip of the Brooklyn Bridge alongside a poem entitled Evidence of Souls, he wrote: “This place makes all these ideas spill out.”
