Dermot Kennedy is due to play two gigs at the Aviva in July.
He will take to the stage on the 11th and 12th of July to sold-out crowds.
Dermot shared that he “can’t even comprehend” that he gets to play the massive venue.
Speaking in a video on social media, he said:”It’s just kind of hitting me now that it’s a couple of weeks-ish until the two shows at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

“I’m trying to ready myself for how that might feel and just be conscious of how much it took to get to this point, and appreciate it, but not be too intimidated by it.”
He went on to say: “I just wanted to check in and say thank you for the fact that these two gigs exist. I’m looking forward to seeing you – 50,000 people two times is something I feel very, very grateful for. I can’t even comprehend what that’s going to feel like. I’ll see you soon, thank you very much.”
He captioned the video: “2 weeks until the biggest shows I’ve ever played. Saturday night is completely sold out, few tickets left for Sunday. I’ll see you there. Thank you for making this a reality X.”
Ahead of his sold out shows the singer shared Honest, the latest single taken from his third studio album The Weight of the Woods, out now via Island Records.
“To me, the album is a beautiful homegrown thing with Irish instruments and an Irish story,” Dermot said of his third album.
“There’s a forest behind my house, which is a haven for my sense of wonder. It’s a peaceful place where I can escape. I’ve entertained the idea of living somewhere else, but I don’t think I’d be happy anywhere else.”
Are you heading to see him in the Aviva?
