Dayl Cronin has wished his former Hometown band-mate Brendan Murray good luck as he prepares for tonight’s X Factor live shows.
The pair rose to fame together in Irish boy band Hometown back in 2015, before Dayl released solo music and appeared as a contestant on Dancing With The Star’s Ireland.
Now, Galway man Brendan is back in the spotlight, following his Eurovision appearance for Ireland in 2017, as he prepares to take to the X Factor live stage.
Sharing a video of his old friend and fellow X Factor contestant Anthony Russel, Dayl wished the 21-year-old luck in tonight’s show.
“This man is actually one of the nicest lads ever!!” Dayl captioned the post.

“Wishing him and my bro Brendan the very best of luck”
Brendan recently spoke to VIP about his X Factor journey, and how he felt excited to be out on his own.
“The lads are all off doing their own thing now, they’ve all gone down different routes,” he revealed.
“They’ve all been really supportive and I get on with them well, all my friends and family are just over the moon.”
Speaking about former manager Louis Walsh – who was also an X Factor judge for 13 years – the singer reveals that they are no longer in touch.
“Me and Louis have gone down our different paths.”
“To be honest we haven’t been in touch. I’m not too sure if he’s seen me on TV or not.
“I’m here on my own, I’ve done this all by myself and I just want to put that across that I’ve done this all on my own.
“The support of my parents has really pushed me too. I went in with a lot of self doubt – there was a lot of competition there and a lot of fresh faces so I didn’t know what to expect.”
“I’m well able and I’ve done this by myself.”
Best of luck to Brendan tonight!
