Irish actor Aidan Turner could be in for a huge career boost, as Coronation Street bosses have their eyes on him.
Producer of the soap, Kate Oates has revealed that she’s looking to bring new talent to show. She’s on the hunt for someone who can act, but will also bring a bit of eye candy to the soap, and believes Aidan could do just that.
Speaking to the Mirror, Kate said, “There is a lot of talent out here, and some of it is very handsome. Someone like Aidan would be brilliant.
“It’s such a long-standing show that you have to respect what is there and it’s history. For me, it’s about telling the best stories and using the characters as best I can.”
Meanwhile, Aidan has apparently been in talks for the role of James Bond in the new 007 movie.
A source recently told The Sun, “Aidan has held preliminary talks with Bond producers and being in LA will give him a further chance to discuss the role.”
