Brooke Scullion has revealed she wasn’t prepared for her DWTS partner Maurizio’s shock exit from the show, mentioning that the pair haven’t spoken since his hasty departure.
After Maurizio departed for Italy citing a family emergency, Brooke was paired with returning pro dancer Robert Rowinski who last appeared on the show in 2020 partnered with Glenda Gilson.
Brooke said having your partner leave in the middle of the series is never something you expect or are prepared for in the slightest.
However, she was very thankful for the support and friendship of her new partner Robert.

Commenting on the situation Brooke said: “I am 23 and I am in Dublin by myself.
“Obviously, I have friends, but I am in an apartment by myself so it is lovely that we have such a good relationship. We can spend time with each other outside of training and we both get on so well”.
Robert and Brooke performed a stunning contemporary ballroom piece to Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill that scored them the first 30 of the series, leaving them ecstatic and slightly stunned.
Brooke mentions how much hardworking goes into the performances: “The whole thing is just unbelievable.
“It is ridiculous how hard you work and just what it means to get the first three 10s. We have worked so hard and the relief you feel afterwards. The performance meant more to me than the scores. It was intense.”
Next week we can look forward to a passionate tango from the duo, something Brooke hasn’t had the pleasure of performing yet.
“I have done the Viennese Waltz and this will be a strong moment for me as a woman. I have grown so much in this competition and I have become more mature. We are excited for next week”.
