We were keeping a close eye on Taylor Swift’s Madison Square Garden wedding this weekend to see if any Irish faces appeared.
Paul Mescal was rumoured to attend with his girlfriend, Gracie Abrams.
However, we were looking at the wrong nuptials as Paul was actually closer to home at a family wedding.
His doting mother Dearbhla shared some gorgeous pictures from the wedding, sharing her delight that she had all three of her children home at the same time.
“I got my 5 for the weekend… it was magic & light, wonder & joy!” she wrote as she shared snaps from the big day.
“I wrote once… that family isn’t just your number it is the people who love you & yours… people who become the stake, that holds you steady, so you grow your tiny tree, establish roots, weather storms… in order for it to become a shelter in it’s own right & thus a mini forest gets created.
“Our family & the Murrays have stood strong & our saplings are now having us as their stakes… life circles round & joy, oh joy is at it’s centre. Two weddings down …so much more to happen, so much life yet to be lived, partners to be found, dances round the sun to happen … oh my how joyous it is to celebrate love. To know love. To be loved. To laugh. To remember …. sandy toes & crisp sandwiches, to playing games on each other’s roads, from first bus rides to school to last drive home.”
She went on to say: “Yes I am proud of our little forest, our estate of greens & dreams. To see your children held in love… to hold another family’s loves as sons & daughters is all the community I could ever have dreamed of. This weekend we celebrated the 2nd wedding in 6 months of two incredible couples… Róisín & Deborah & Sinéad & Mike …Magic!
“I am getting excited about all the parties coming down the line, the birthdays, the celebration of lives being fully lived … oh! the memories we have yet to create. Paul and his brother Donncha looked dapper in white shirts and black slacks. They opted to forego the tie and jacket for the summer wedding.
Meanwhile, Nell looked a vision in a brown dress, showing off her tattoos. She added a pair of black pumps to the ensemble, while she left her hair down to frame her face.
