Brian Kennedy has opened up about how he is coping with his cancer battle. The singer was diagnosed with rectal cancer last September, and has since undergone chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
The Belfast native has revealed that he is doing as well as he can be at the moment, and is extremely thankful that doctors caught the disease early.
Speaking to TV3 the singer said, “I’m in great health and doing as well as can be expected. I’m not out of the woods yet, by any means. It’s a slow process.”
Brian also spoke about a big positive that has come out of such a difficult experience. Many people have approached him since he went public with his diagnosis, and they’ve let him know that his story has helped them on their journeys with cancer too.
“Everywhere I go now people come up to me and tell me their really private cancer stories that they’re either in the middle of, or they’ve been through, or they’ve lost a person, maybe.”
