Brian Dowling has responded to a follower who criticised the way he spoke about his daughter Blake in an Instagram story.

Sharing the DM Brian wrote: “I find this message so patronising & offensive. Where’s the respect for me!!!”

He continued: “I DON’T always bite back or engage but since becoming a father I feel like it’s my duty to stick up for myself. I’m giving [the follower] a taste of [their] own medicine.”

Responding to the message Brian wrote: “Personally speaking, bit of advice from a father of a beautiful daughter, please don’t be contacting me telling me how to speak around my daughter. I would never message anyone in private like this and certainly never in public. A bit of respect please.”

Brian welcomed his daughter Blake into the world via surrogate with his husband Arthur Gourounlian on the first of September this year and the couple introduced baby Blake to the world on the cover of the October issue of VIP Magazine.

“We are just over the moon and so in love with her,” Brian told us in an exclusive interview.

While they couldn’t be happier to welcome their glamorous little girl into their world, they originally admitted that they thought she was going to be a little boy!

“It’s funny, we were actually convinced we were having a boy, because in the first scan they referred to her as a he. They said, ‘he’s perfect’ so we were later shocked to find out it was going to be a girl!” Brian explains.

While Arthur adds: “But we had the name Blake whether it was a boy or girl, and then we added Maria Rose after our two mums.”
