Brian Dowling has called out the internet troll who has dubbed him ‘a sh*t dad’ for working away from home so much while he has a young daughter at home.
The radio host jumped straight in, responding to the individual, making the point that his and partner, Arthur’s work/parenting routine with baby Blake is the same as many family’s across the country.
He said: “What happens in our household with Arthur and I happens in households all over Ireland and all over the world.”
He revealed that his schedule, while a little crazy, allows him to spend the afternoon and evenings with his daughter. He later admitted that he does work occasional long days but only because he is trying to provide his daughter with the best possible future.

He said: “One parent, maybe two parents, get up early to go to work, I’m on a radio show, I’m up every morning just after 6, I’m live at ten o’clock, most days, some days I’m back home at two o’clock to spend the rest of the day with Blake and [the] evening.”
The Big Brother alum was particularly outraged at the fact the troll was questioning his parenting when he and his partner try so hard to provide for their daughter and her future.

He said: “Some days like yesterday and today I’m not back until 8 or 9 o’clock at night if that is the case a) that is our business and b) we are doing this to provide for our child.”
Adding: “We get absolutely nothing for free, we want Blake to have the best opportunities, the best in life and experience it to the fullest so we have to get out there and work which I would say is typically normal. How dare anyone else criticise or troll another parent.”
