Brian and Arthur to make Irish TV history

Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian are set to make history as they are set to become the first married gay couple to host an Irish chat show together.

What an incredible feat.

Arthur is set to join Brian on The Six O’Clock Show from next week ahead of Lottie Ryan joining the show as Brian’s permenant co-host in September.

Already a firm favourite with Six viewers, Arthur is swapping the guest sofa for the host’s chair.

And he’ll be right at home with the week kicking off with the current stars of Riverdance and show director John McColgan joining the gang on the Six sofa. As a Dancing with the Stars judge, will Arthur be tempted to hand out a few perfect 10s?

Also stopping by throughout the week are comedy legend John Cleese, who’ll be chatting about Fawlty Towers: The Play ahead of its Irish run, rugby great Alan Quinlan discussing the Nations Championship, and The Chase star Darragh Ennis with all the details on new spin-off series The Chase Around the World.

The guest list doesn’t stop there. Author Paul Howard, actor and Love/Hate star John Connors, and comedian Aoife Dunne are all set to join Brian and Arthur for what promises to be a memorable week on the show.

The couple will then jet off for a well-deserved summer break.

The Six O’Clock Show airs weeknights at 6pm on Virgin Media PLAY & Virgin Media One
