And now baby Blake is here they are just as eager to show off the realities of parenting a newborn.
Now they have confirmed that they have finished filming on the RTÉ production.
Sharing a picture of himself with his husband, daughter and sister, Aoife, Brian wrote: “And that’s a wrap on Brian & Arthur’s Very Modern Family. This documentary has been such an honest/therapeutic/emotional/fun & life-changing thing to film.
“From how we started @effidy_dowling_ @gourounlian to how we finished today with Beautiful Baby Blake joining us on the sofa. It was all about Blake & for Blake & for any other families in our situation that just want to have the opportunity to be able to have their families here in Ireland, safely & respectfully in the same way everyone else does.”
He went on to say: “Clearly Arthur and I are not experts in this department this documentary is just our honest experience at what we faced and overcame in the process of becoming fathers.”
Arthur commented: “WOW! What a journey and I honestly can’t wait to sit down one day and watch it all back with Blake when she is a little older to understand.”
The reality star also confirmed that the series would air before the year was out on RTÉ One, so we certainly won’t have to wait too long for that!
“Surrogacy in Ireland isn’t legal, but it’s not illegal so there’s a loophole there somewhere,” Brian explained.
“When you have a family that’s not the norm, everyone has an opinion. But we deserve the right to have a family,” he added.
