Bressie has revealed what he really thinks about The Voice being axed – and it seems that there’s no chance of him returning to reality television!
It was announced in August that The Voice would not be commissioned for a new series, in order to make room for the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars.
When asked about The Voice finishing up, the Blizzards singer admitted that although he enjoyed it at the time, he’s happy it’s over now.
He told the Irish Mirror, “The Voice was huge for me but I’m glad it’s over and it came to an end when it was doing well. It’s the right time.”
The 35-year-old went on to say that he definitely won’t be taking part in the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars, as his talent on the stage does not translate well to the dance floor!
He said, “I cannot dance to save my life. I am pathetic. I have two left feet. I am so bad. I am not a dancer and I will not be on the Irish Strictly. 100% done with those TV shows – I am out.”
Bressie is now putting all his energy into his newly reformed band, The Blizzards and he admits that there is a lot less pressure for the band the second time around.
He said, “It’s great to be back with the boys because this time we don’t need to succeed to survive. We all have jobs. We all do our own thing. It is just mates making music for ourselves and if other people like it even better.”
