You may have spotted the likes of Paul Mescal and Daryl McCormack wearing a blue ribbon as they walked the BAFTA red carpet on Sunday night.

But you may be wondering why.

Well, as with a lot of high-profile events, the stars like to take the opportunity to make a statement.

Remember Time’s Up back in 2018?

Well, this time around the celebrities are sporting blue ribbons. They are wearing them to show their support for refugees and displaced people around the world.

The ribbons are all emblazoned with the word #WithRefugees, in solidarity with all people forced to flee oppression.

It follows the horrific earthquakes that hit Turkey and Syria, killing an estimated 44,000 and displacing thousands more.
