It’s the show everyone’s talking about over the past few days – and now host Rylan Clarke has opened up about what’s in store for Big Brother fans this year.

There seems to be mounting excitement this time round after the announcement that TV3 will be airing all coverage of Big Brother: Timebomb, meaning Irish followers won’t miss out on any of the controversial antics from the popular fly-on-the-wall programme.

And yesterday, presenter of spin off show Big Brother’s Bit On The Side Rylan paid a flying visit to Dublin to divulge the details of this year’s explosive show.

The former X Factor star met with Glenda Gilson, and revealed that this year’s theme ‘Timebomb’ means that Big Brother is now going to be able to control time, which includes not telling the housemates whether it is day or night.

Rylan told Glenda: “As an ex-housemate myself, when you’re in that house the only thing that keeps you grounded, is that you don’t have any clocks, you don’t know what the time is, but you get up in the morning and it’s light out, you go into the garden and do what you need to do and at night time it’s dark and you go to bed.”

He also suggested that we may be seeing the return of some familiar faces, and while he wouldn’t be moved on which Big Brother favourites might re-enter the house, Rylan did suggest there may be some extra Irish interest this year.

“We’ve got young, we’ve got old, we’ve got England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales – we’ve got them all,” he told Ireland AM.

The launch show of Big Brother: Timebomb kicks off on Tuesday 12th May at 9pm on 3e, with a simulcast on TV3 from 10pm – 11pm.

‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ will air nightly on 3e straight after the main show.
